Feeling the sticky, cold texture of the noodles.
Today was full of activities for the children! One of the activities that we worked on was sensory play. This included having the children sit down in the Picasso Room and test out different textures by touching them with their hands, listening to them with their ears, looking at them with their eyes and smelling them with their nose ( We didn't do any taste textures, but that is soon to come too). The kids really enjoyed checking out all of the different textures, sounds and sights. The different items we played with were: crunchy rice krispies, noodles, soft playdough, hard lego blocks, almonds in a water bottle and almonds in a water bottle filled with water.  Green Spaghetti Noodles is a HIT and really easy to make (add food coloring). This activity worked for ages 1-3 years. Overall, a great day of fun, play and learning at Sweet Babies Family Day Home!
